

The city has a total area of approximately 39.53 square miles. Lebanon is the corporate home of Cracker Barrel, Performance Food Group, and Lochinvar as well as Cumberland University. It is the county seat of Wilson County and was named after the biblical cedars of Lebanon of which a state park of the same name can be found just south of the city limits. The City of Lebanon was originally incorporated in 1801 and is located approximately 25 miles east of downtown Nashville in what is commonly referred to as the Middle-Tennessee area.
